Pop-Up Pie Making in the Studio

About the Event
All materials and ingredients are provided. Each guest will take home their complete unbaked pie. Includes an in-class pie tasting and sparkling toast!
At the end of class you will have a beautifully decorated pie ready to freeze or bake. During this hands on 2-hour class you will be guided through how to make a good pie crust, pie filling and how to decorate the top of your pie with cut outs, lattice and other trending designs. This class is instructed by one of Dolci's experienced pastry chefs.
What a great way to spend an afternoon: using the freshest berries and rhubarb right from the farms of Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Essential skills taught:
How to make a flaky pie dough
How to roll out dough
How to assemble your pie with fruit filling
How to decorate the top of your pie
How to use essental kitchen equipment to achieve a beautiful pie
You will finish class with:
An 8-9 inch pie
New understanding of pastry dough
Pastry dough and filling recipe (emailed to you before class)
