About the Event
Join us in this exciting workshop where you will explore the world of collage mixed media painting and create a contemporary 10"x10" artwork on canvas using top-quality materials from GOLDEN Artist Colours paints and mediums. With guidance from Sandra Iafrate, you'll develop unique brush techniques and learn various methods to apply paint and collage pieces to the canvas. You will also learn how to create a good composition that will enhance your artwork and visual flow.
The workshop is designed to allow you to work towards your own vision and ideas. You can include representational images of nature, figure or florals, or it may be purely abstract. You are the artist, and we encourage you to unleash your creativity and create a one-of-a-kind mixed media collage piece that speaks to your vision. This is a fun and supportive atmosphere where both those new to painting and those who are experienced will enjoy.
We will provide everything you need to get started, including all paints and mediums, a 10"x10" canvas, brushes and palette knives, and other application materials. We'll also provide some textiles, objects, water containers, and table easels. Plus, we will have coffee and tea available during a workshop break. Aprons will be available, and participants are welcome to bring their own printed images, prints, or papers for collage if desired.
