
2009 Art Classes
Drawing for Kids ages 10 and up
Students will learn how to draw in a traditional manner while composing original work based on their own chosen subject matter. Techniques on shading, perspective and composition will be addressed in a practical setting while the student is able to develop sharp observation skills. Completed works can be included at the end of the term exhibit. Fee: $225.
Teens Drawing and Painting Class
Students will put the colour wheel in full spin while learning to mix and apply colours as artists for their own concepts. The course covers all aspects of painting: palette preparation, drawing, composition and brush techniques. Completed work or studies can be put in an exhibit held at the end of term. Fee: $275.
Open Studio for Adults
This course offers budding or born again artists a relaxing and encouraging atmosphere while learning the basic concepts of drawing and painting. Participants can bring in photos of their favourite subject matter or choose from a picture file or still life display. Works can be put in an exhibit at the end of the term. $275.
Weekend Workshop: Watercolour for Beginners
This is a great opportunity to learn the basics. Cover brush stroke techniques and use of colour and put your news skills to use on a small landscape piece. No previous art experience needed, and all materials are included! Bring a lunch. Fee: $130. ($120 with Station Gallery membership).

Outdoor Workshop with John Stuart Pryce
Enjoy the spring air in Lawrence Park Discovery Walk with renowned plein air painter John Stuart Pryce. You will learn how to create a landscape composition in any medium you choose, working swiftly with colour while creating depth and capturing light and shadow. Material list available. Maximum 10 students.
